The Story of the Last Name

The last name changes has made it more difficult to get accurate information for our family. As you can see on the legal documents when Andy who was 21 years old came to the States.

The back of an immigration document dated October 27, 1907 listed someone as Andreas Barancsyk.

The Marriage Certificate dated July 17, 1909 listed him as Andreas Morosz.

The Naturalization Papers Declaration of Intention dated April 1, 1918 list him as Andy Morris and arriving to the U.S. on November 15, 1907.

The Citizenship Oath of Allegiance dated September 15. 1922 list him as Andy Morris.

Julia’s death certificate dated July 19, 1949 listed her as Julia Moroz as well as the death notice in the paper.

The Death Certificate dated April 7, 1959 listed him as Andrew Morse while. A legal memo from a lawyer reference his name as Andrew Moroz on May 24, 193?
