Andrew was born in Stroplov, Slovakia on February 22, 1887. What is known, according to Andrew’s Immigration records, are that he was from a town listed as Uchelka, Austria-Hungry. The records also state that the town was under the rule of Charles, Emperor of Austria and Apostolic King of Hungry. Although according to Steve Morse, his father Andrew, was from a town called Stropkov in Slovakia. Also a friend, Paul Kusma had taken his father to the town and showed Paul where Andrew Morse had lived.

According to my father, Steve Morse, his father Andrew was orphaned at 4 years of age. The circumstances regarding his family are unknown.
